Grenadines

Day 1 - Le Marin - Bequia
Your catamaran awaits at the Marin marina in the south of the island. Once settled on board you crew will set sail during the night for Bequia, passing by the coasts of Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent.

Day 2 - Bequia - Moustique
Arrive at Bequia before breakfast, the first of the islands in the Grenadines archipelago and you will moor in Admiralty Bay. The capital Port Elisabeth is a small but lively town with lots of bars and little shops. After lunch on board you will sail the short distance to the island of Mustique and moor in front of this exclusive spot.

Day 3 - Moustique - Mayreau
You have the chance, at a supplementary cost, to visit the island and see the stunning luxury villas, or swim on the most beautiful beach on the island, Macaroni Beach. Leave for Mayreau in the afternoon, where your skipper will moor in front of the Saline Bay beach. Mayreau is the most sparsely populated island of the archipelago, with only around 300 inhabitants. Take a moment to visit the famous stone church on the island, perched on the top of a hill with stunning views of the neighbouring islands. Dinner on board.

Day 4 - Mayreau - Tobago Cays
Today you will sail the short distance to the famous Tobago Cays - small islets, lagoons and coral reefs await. Explore these deserted islands and go in search of cactus, frangipani and rare species of trees. Enjoy dinner and spend the night on board. You have the chance to enjoy a BBQ on the beach (at a supplementary cost) – apertifis, lobster or other sea food and fish.

Day 5 - Tobago Cays - Bequia - Cumberland
After breakfast you will head towards Bequia. Have lunch on board then visit the village, its fruit and vegetable market and pretty little shops. In the middle of the afternoon your catamaran will sail to Cumberland Bay. You have the option of enjoying a night at ‘Beni’ and hearing a steel pan orchestra!

Day 6 - Saint Vincent - Saint Lucia
This morning you can choose to take a taxi ride around the island, in a mini bus with chauffeur to see all of the sights of this island, and around the stunning coastline. Then why not jump into one of the waterfalls or pools to cool off. After lunch you will sail towards the 2 Pitons, typical image of Saint Lucia. Dinner and evening on board.

Day 7 - Sainte Lucie - Sainte Anne

After breakfast you can discover these 2 ‘Pitons’, 2 volcanic formations, in the village of Soufrière, as well as the botanical garden with its streams and pool where you can relax, and the active volcanic crater and its hot water geysers. Lunch on board as you sail in the direction of Sainte Anne in Martinique.

Day 8 - Sainte Anne - Le Marin
Breakfast on board, then a short navigation before you disembark at Marin Port at 10h.

Frequently asked questions

  • What happens if I need to cancel my cruise?

If you wish to make a cancellation, you should contact your GlobeSailor advisor as soon as possible. Whatever the circumstances, you will be charged the following cancellation fees, depending on when the cancellation is made: up to 90 days before departure = 25%; 89 to 60 days before departure = 50%; 59 to 30 days before departure = 75%; 29 days or less before departure = 100% of the total cost of your booking. We recommend that you sign up for cancellation insurance with your personal insurance provider.
  • How can I arrange my transfer from the airport to the boat? What about provisioning?

After you have made your booking the base manager will contact you to give you more information on your cruise. Make sure you confirm what time you will be arriving and also your flight details. A taxi or minibus can meet you at the airport and bring you directly to the boat at an extra cost.
Provisioning and meals will be taken care of by your crew. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements (vegan, vegetarian etc…) make sure to let the base manager know.
  • What payments must I make in order to confirm my booking?

To confirm your booking you should inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will put an option (hold) on the cabin for a certain time until we receive your down payment.

The booking will only be considered final once we have received your down payment (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card) which is 50% of the total amount. A 100% down payment is required for any booking made less than one month before departure.

The balance should be paid no later than one month before boarding to GlobeSailor. Mandatory extras and options will be payable locally. Be sure to check with your advisor or the base prior to departure.
  • What currency is used in the Grenadines?

The currency in the Grenadines is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (EC$ or XCD)
    In July 2016, 1 € = 2,97 EC$ et 1 EC$ = 0,33 €. However the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Eastern Caribbean dollar is fixed: 1 US$ = 2,70 $EC.
The Eastern Caribbean Dollar is used in 7 other English speaking Caribbean islands: Anguilla, Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint-Kitts and St. Lucia.
Leave home with US dollars or take cash out from an ATM when you are there. You can find some on most of the islands (except Mayreau), but be warned, they are sometimes out of order!
  • What documents are needed to travel to the Grenadines?

British and US passport holders don’t need a visa to visit St Vincent and the Grenadines, but you must have a passport valid for at least 6 months. On entry, you will be granted a specified period to stay. If you wish to stay longer, you must apply and pay for an extension of your stay through the St Vincent Immigration Department.
For other nationalities you should consult the advice issued by your government's foreign office.
