Set off on a cultural cruise along the coast of Indonesia. This archipelago with lush landscapes is composed of thousands of islands where many ethnic groups and religions (Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists...) live side by side. Your trip will begin with the visit of Bali, also called "the island of the gods" because of its countless religious sites and will continue to the Komodo National Park, populated by giant dragons ... Thanks to the professional and multilingual staff, these islands will soon hold no more secrets from you.
Step on board the lovely Ombak Putih (literally the white wave in Indonesian) and meet its captain, Agung, and his local crew. This traditional 42-metre-long gulet has three decks, one of which is reserved for cabins. On the main deck, you will find a convivial lounge and a shaded area where you can read while listening to the soft sound of the water on the hull. The sun deck offers a splendid panoramic view of the Indonesian islands. Deckchairs are also at your disposal so that you can make the most of the sun.
Important : Your cruise can also be done on board the Katharina gulet (38 meters long; 6 double cabins).

DAY 1: Bali - Amed
You will arrive in the south of Bali at the Puri Santrian Hotel at 9:00 am (about 25 min drive from Denpasar Airport). Upon arrival, you will meet your fellow travellers and board a minibus to travel to Amed. During the trip, your guide will tell you more about the Karangasem region. You will make a first stop in the village of Tenganan, and meet the Bali Aga, the original descendants of Bali. You will discover a unique architecture as well as ancestral culture and ceremonies. You will end your tour by exploring rice terraces. The driver will then drive you to your hotel, where you can enjoy the sea, the swimming pool and the surrounding hills on a leisurely stroll. You will also have the opportunity to participate in an introductory snorkeling course. For your welcome dinner, you can enjoy delicious Balinese specialities. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2: Bali
Those who wish to do so can bathe after breakfast. A transfer awaits you afterwards to take you to the boat. You will be warmly welcomed by the captain and his crew, who will accompany you to your cabin. Before heading out to sea, you will take a tour of the boat and snorkel to explore the beautiful reefs. Back on the boat, the crew weighs anchor and sets sail for Sumbawa. During the crossing, you'll pass through the Lombok Strait before sailing along the north coast of this volcanic island. At the end of the day, you'll settle comfortably on the aft deck to watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight at sea.
DAY 3 : Kenawa - Bungin - Moyo
You wake up in front of the beautiful Kenawa Island and enjoy your breakfast in front of this dream setting. You will have the morning to relax on its white sand or to snorkel among its corals and multicoloured fish. The paddle will also be an excellent way to discover the shores of the island. After lunch, the schooner takes to the sea and heads east of Lombok. You will stop on Bungin Island and meet the second largest Bajau community in Indonesia. This group of "sea gypsies" live exclusively from the sea and live on the water, in houses on stilts. Back on board, the captain sets sail and heads for Moyo Island. Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 4: Moyo - Satonda
This morning, the boat approaches Moyo Island and docks near the village of Labuan Aji. Once ashore, you visit the village and then walk to the Diwu Mba'i waterfall. The more adventurous can think they are Tarzan by swinging at the end of a rope before jumping into the cool, translucent water. You set sail again with all your sails hoisted to the small volcanic island of Satonda. In 1815, Mount Tambora, located on the island of Subawa, erupted causing a huge tsunami that submerged the crater of Satonda. According to the local population, this island is magical. The inhabitants have the custom of tying a small stone to a tree (called "wish tree") and making a wish. If the wish comes true, they come back to make an offering as a token of thanks. During your walk, you too can participate in this tradition. A little later in the afternoon, you will swim by the tropical fish. After admiring the sunset, you will sail east. Dinner and overnight at sea.
DAY 5: Sangean - Banta
Enjoy your breakfast and the impressive view of the volcano of Sangean Island. This 1800 meter high volcano is still active. As a result, local farmers and cattle breeders live there only for short periods of time. You will have the chance to talk with boat builders who will explain the process of schooner making. If you go to the north of the island, you will be able to swim in an area where volcanic gases escape from the bottom of the sea and bubble to the surface. You then return on the boat to the island of Banta. This stopover will be the perfect opportunity to relax on the white sand. Later in the evening, the captain weighs anchor and sets sail for an island populated by dragons... Dinner and night at sea.
DAY 6 : Komodo National Park
As you go on deck, you will find that the schooner is anchored in the middle of the 80 islands that make up the Komodo National Park. Your day will be devoted to underwater discovery. The captain will take you to a small bay where the fishes live in a natural environment still preserved. You can choose to paddle above the water or put on flippers, mask and snorkel to explore the seabed. You will then sail to the Makassar Reef in search of manta rays. If they are showing the tips of their huge fins, you may be able to swim with them ... Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 7 : Rinca - Siaba
You disembark at Rinca Island and hike in search of the Komodo dragons accompanied by Loh Buaya rangers. You will quickly be surprised by the diversity of the fauna (wild buffaloes, deer, monkeys...) and the landscape once you reach the top of the hills. On your return, you leave with all sails hoisted to reach the island of Siaba. Here again, the seabed is beautiful. Depending on the time of day, you will visit the island of Kelor, then the island of Karangan. The latter is home to the Bajau people. At the end of the day, you will land on a small deserted island and enjoy some barbecued specialities (according to metrological conditions). Around this bonfire, crew members will sing and dance while others will play the guitar. Night on board.
DAY 8: Labuan Bajo
The early risers will enjoy a last swim before the crew weighs anchor (around 9am). You will stop in the village of Melo and attend the Caci, a ritual in which two rivals confront each other with a rattan shield and a whip while dancing to the rhythm of traditional music. This duel requires a good physical condition and great concentration to perform the movements quickly. The villagers will also present a traditional dance show. Your disembarkation is scheduled after lunch. You will be transferred to Bandara Komodo airport.
