As the second largest city of France, Marseille is a bustling place and a lively port at the gates of the Mediterranean Sea. Designated European Capital of Culture in 2013, Marseille is a port city full of history, adored by some for its laid back lifestyle and its climate, and criticised by others for certain areas of concern existing here and there.
Marseille also boasts 57 kilometres of coastline and 20 kilometres of calanques benefitting from an exceptional climate and a wild and preserved nature. Easily accessible by train or plane, Marseille is an ideal starting point for a cruise on the French Riviera.

The Old Port of Marseille is situated right in the heart of the city, at the end of the famous Canebière - the historic avenue of Marseille. The port is a very lively place lined with bars, restaurants and shops. It is also very sheltered thus accessible in all types of winds. On the north and south quays, you will find 42 pontoons to tie up your yacht to.
L’Estaque harbour is an equally renowned port of Marseille that has managed to preserve the charm and tranquillity of Provence. Located at the north end of the dock-basins of Marseille harbour, it offers about 1500 moorings but is only accessible to small-draft boats (2-3 metres).
A little further to the North West is the marina of Corbières, which offers about a hundred berths.
As you can see, there is no shortage of options in Marseille if you fancy a stop at the heart of the Provençal atmosphere.
