Split - Croatia
The Dalmatian coast on, to the east of the Adriatic, Split houses a large industrial and tourism port. In turn dominated by the Romans, the venetians, the Austro-Hungarian and even Napoleon, Split offers a rich cultural heritage and varied. The city is entered in world heritage of humanity. The port is a very good starting point for the discovery of different surrounding islands.
To get to Split
Split is located at aboout 25 km from the airport, to reach the port two solutions are offered to you: a shuttle and a bus.
The first, coordinated with the arrival of the aircraft takes a long
time before go and the second much cheaper is much more common. However,
please note that the takes you directly shuttle at the port while the
bus drop you at a small station where you will require an about twenty
minutes to join the wharves, not very useful if you have much luggage !
Now, it is for you to choose!
No problem for victualling resupply, several food stores are scattered here and there.
Access and Services at the port of Split:
Easy of access, the port of Split includes 345 berths afloat and 60
places to dry.
Once on the spot you will find fresh water, electricity on the pontoons
sanitary block (shower and toilets), wireless internet access (Wifi),
post of fuel in front of the hotel Marjan (100m).
Count 47 euros per night for a boat of 10m.
Split is entered in the world heritage of the Unesco thanks in
particular to the Palais of Diocletian as well as to the cathedral
Saint-Domnius of Split.
